Longlegs

This week we are talking about Neon Studio’s new hit horror film, Longlegs. In general, horror fans seem to love this movie, but does that me that we did? I think you know, we rarely all agree with each other, and this movie is no different. So if you liked Longlegs, then you will agree with something we say, and if it wasn’t for you, we still have you covered. We aim to please at COTR.

May December & Dream Scenario

Well, this was supposed to be the last episode of 2023, but instead this is how we are rolling into the new year. What better way to celebrate than a conversation, about two very odd, but well acted movies, May December and Dream Scenario. Just because the acting was solid doesn’t mean we thought each of these movies were great, but neither were a waste of time. We hope that you can say the same for this show.

Pig

When we first heard about a movie being released in which Nicholas Cage plays a man looking for his kidnapped pig, we started to assume things about the movie. We knew the actor that Nicholas Cage had become, almost a parody of a parody, and the silly premise seemed to be leading down of path similar to that of John Wick. Quite simply, we were so very very wrong. This movie surprised us more than we could have imagined.

Movie Night: Trapped in Paradise

Sticking with the holiday theme, this week Roy asked us to watch the perhaps forgotten gem from 1994, Trapped in Paradise. This was a hot minute before Nicholas Cage took over the late 90’s, and you can just start to see the beginnings of those tale-tell Cage mannerisms. So sit back with a big mug of hot chocolate, then grab a big bottle of bourbon cream, now mix it all together while watching Trapped in Paradise.

Enjoy!
