WandaVision

This week we are giving are general thoughts about WandaVision. I don’t know why you would listen if you haven’t seen the show, but it is very spoiler heavy as we talk about how this influences the MCU, and where the character will go from here. We also make fun of the people who think they know all the answers as soon as the first episode aired, only to end up with egg on their face. So sit back and relax as we once again dip our toes into the cool waters of the MCU.

Enjoy!

Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn

This week we try to understand what was going on in the latest DC film, Birds of Prey. The reviews were good, and I know several people who really liked it, and DC is on about as good a roll as they’ve been on lately, so this should have been a slam dunk at the box office. So what went wrong? I don’t know that we actually come up with any answers to that question, but we still talk about it a lot. I definitely believe that there are people who will disagree with us, but we would love to hear why. We are always open to other people’s opinions.

Enjoy!

Joker

This week we discuss the very divisive film, Joker. Certainly none of us share the same opinion, but we all found things that we enjoyed, and definitely some things that made our blood boil. Whether you liked, loved, or hated this film, I hope you can at least appreciate its ability to spark a conversation. Please let us know how you felt about this one!

Shazam!

As we inch ever closer to comic book movie fatigue, we examine the latest (and greatest?) film in the DCEU, Shazam! Did DC finally figure out a way to top Marvel? As men who kind of act like we are still 13 years old, are we the target demographic? Did anyone else think that Zachary Levi looked really weird in that foam rubber costume? Please, let us know your thoughts! I am tired of hearing what these guys have to say.

Enjoy!

The Amazing Spiderman & Moonrise Kingdom

You may not see the connection, but I believe these two movie share a common thread. To many people, Spiderman and the newest film by Wes Anderson seems like just more of the same thing that we've seen before. It would be easy to dismiss either film based on that assumption, but would you be missing out on the best example in both line of films? I guess you will just have to listen to what we have to say, ignore what we say, and make up your own mind.
