Kid 90

This week we discuss the documentary from Soleil Moon Frye, Kid 90. Initially we believed this to be a doc that would scratch that certain nostalgic 90’s itch that we have from time to time, and while it succeeds it doing that, it is also a deeply personal, tragic, beautiful, and uplifting story. Tears were definitely shed while watching this one.

Palm Springs

If you’ve seen the trailer for Palm Springs it would be easy to compare it to other films that use time loops as a narrative device. Obviously everyone wants to make a comparison to Groundhog’s Day and just write it off as such. This romantic dramedy, starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, is so much more than trailer lets on.
